The four oldest boys (Wilhelm, Charles, Fred, and Henry) were listed as farm laborers.

They also had another young boy, Peter Campbell (14), although it unclear what his relation was to William.

Franklin Peters, Ellen's son and William's step-son, was no longer living with the Campbell family, instead living with his paternal grandmother in New York City. There was no record of Harriet Peters in 1860.

Worth noting is the fact that this page of the census not only includes other Campbells and DeBauns, but also Daniel Hennion and his family. Daniel's son Abel would later become Zoe's wife.

William Campbell, age 65, was living in Caldwell, NJ and was back to working as a shoe maker. Family included wife Ellen (55), daughters Zoe (18) and Nellie (11), and grandson Theodore Edward (6), who must have been either Deliah or Mary's son.

The very next name on the census sheet is Daniel Hennion. His son Abel will marry Zoe in 1886.

Jemima Davis, 41 years old and recently widowed, was living in New York City with her daughters Abby (17), Sarah (15), and Elizabeth (10). The census does not record that she had a job or occupation. Also living in the household were two 2 year old boys, George Bradford and Bradford Gilbert, whose relation to the family is unknown. The question of the boys' connection to the Davises is made all the more mysterious by the fact that 2 year old George Bradford's birthplace is listed as "unknown."

It is also worth noting that Elizabeth Davis is also listed on her grandfather Moses Taylor's census as a resident of his household.

E.B. Evans, age 27, was living in Carroll, IA with wife Neva (22) and children Evan C. (3), Wendell (2), and Betty Jean (1). This census is notable in that it includes the names of each person's mother and father, a feature that would have been handy in later years as E.B.'s family becomes increasingly complicated and convoluted. The form also shows that E.B. had completed 10th grade and Neva had completed 8th.

There is a small chance that this may not be our Daniel Hennion. Although the name, age, and town are all correct, this record lists his occupation as a blacksmith. Based on everything else we know about Daniel Hennion, he was a farmer. I have included this record with this person because I have not been able to find any evidence of any other Daniel Hennions living in Caldwell, NJ during the mid-nineteenth century.
