Sources Hayes, Alexander - 1900 US Federal Census
Alexander Hayes, age 52, was living in Richfield, WI and working as a farmer. Family included wife Nora (51) and children Alexander (20), George (16), Margaret (15), Joseph (12), and Josepha (10). The census notes that Alexander would be starting as a teacher in September, George was working as a farm laborer, and Joe and Jess were in school. Maywin, who was 18, was away at school in Oshkosh City WI (see source #S33).
