| Hennion, Daniel - 1860 US Federal Census Daniel Hennion, age 31, was living in Caldwell, NJ and was working as a farmer. Family included wife Abigail (27, called "Abba" in this census) and children Josephine (5), Jemima (3), and Abel (1). |
| Davis, Jemima - 1850 US Federal Census Jemima Davis, 41 years old and recently widowed, was living in New York City with her daughters Abby (17), Sarah (15), and Elizabeth (10). The census does not record that she had a job or occupation. Also living in the household were two 2 year old boys, George Bradford and Bradford Gilbert, whose relation to the family is unknown. The question of the boys' connection to the Davises is made all the more mysterious by the fact that 2 year old George Bradford's birthplace is listed as "unknown."
It is also worth noting that Elizabeth Davis is also listed on her grandfather Moses Taylor's census as a resident of his household. |
