Walter Rutman, age 74, was living in Northampton, PA and was no longer working. Household included wife Mary (62) and sons Thomas (22, working as a laborer) and Walter Jr. (39), who was also not working due to a Civil War injury. Walter's son Edwin (28) lived next door with his wife Sarah (22), and was working on the railroad (all the live long day, presumably).
